About Asia: it rocks. The feeds below include some of the best on the Web coming from Asian authors, about Asia. And the Asians? Are seriously WWW-ified.These writers are blogging from around the world. Some are blogging from Asia, so their day-to-day life is a little different from the average non-Asian. Or they post their conversations with their mom, translated from the Chinese. These blogs are all informed in some way by their bloggers’ backgrounds or locales. The blogs, beginning with their titles, range from witty to serious. Topics are diverse, from food to politics. Michelle Malkin has a page of China-Google Protest Logos. When I was young, I would very much have liked to have felt there was a public Asian community out there. I'd like to have known that it was possible to be Asian and be in media, be in journalism, heck, be anywhere - up until the age of five, I had no idea I wasn't Caucasian, because those were all the people I saw on TV.And even today, my friends and I watch TV or go out to a movie, and inevitably (to their frequent embarrassment), I’ll yell out, “Token Asian!” at some point. If the show has a token Asian. And oftentimes, it doesn't even have that.Yeah, it’d be nice to live in a place where race wasn't a difference between people. The Great American Melting Pot is a wonderful idea - but I think I'd have to prefer a country in which I can be both an American and an Asian at the same time. If all cultures melted together, we wouldn’t have Asian food. Or Asian art. Or Asian humor. And we know it’s all about the Asian humor.Related Top 10 Sources: Shanghai | China | Indian Food | Media

Track breaking news online, originally uploaded by noodlepie. Still a few places left on my Track Breaking News Online course in London on the 24 July. This is a fascinating and useful course - if I do say so myself... It's targetted at people who want/need to track the Internet for breaking news in an efficient and highly...
