Cornell's undergraduate and graduate schools are primarily in Ithaca, New York, a small but snappy city located 60 miles southwest of Syracuse. The Ivy League campus, 745 acres in the Finger Lakes region, is a haven for 20,000 students from 120 countries. It is a place for dreamers and scholars, techies and teachers, scientists and philosophers, undergrads and grads. There are 4,000 courses, 70 undergraduate majors and 93 graduate school areas of study. Hard to believe they can pack this all into one of the most beautiful places in the world.
