First off, I am a Miami girl, born and raised and even here in Boston, I live for flip-flops. When people here ask me where I'm from and I tell them, their usual reaction is "what the hell are you doing here." Apparently, if you enjoy the sun, New England is not the place for you. Ahh, bittersweet nostalgia. When I think of Miami, I can hear the waves crashing as the seagulls converse with one another and the palm trees swoosh in the breeze. It's a place where beautiful people, Tropical cuisine, ecclectic music and sparkling night life blend together to form a peninsular paradise. I can remember falling asleep to the sounds of Latin music and laughter from a neighbor's late night BBQ. Or waking up to the sight of the sunrise after a night out on the town turns into a nap on the beach. Love it or hate it, Miami is a hot spot. Celebrities come by for a weekend only to set up home on one of the many Miami Beach islands. Rest assured,there is always something to do here. This post is dedicated to the entertainment, politics and general goings-on in the city of the sun. So get your sandals on, lay out your towel and bask in its warmth.
