Repeat after me: New music is to ears as new shoes are to feet. I grew up in California, the land of sun, technology and new music. Bands were forever starting up, and I was forever going to shows (and staying out past my curfew). Looking back, I was the punk rock kid.Today, true to my subcultural roots, I am constantly looking for what’s new and innovative and downloading it to my faux-pod (a music player not manufactured by Apple, having more disk space and costing two limbs less). Clearly, I cannot spend hours searching for my new favorite band, so I count on these blogs to help me out – along with my favorite underground DJs. So, quit your whining about how much the radio sucks these days, get thee to a computer and get your ears some much needed therapy.Related Top 10 Sources: Alternative Rock | Popular Music | Hip-Hop

Sure, I've only been going two years now, but...

Here’s another new one from Department of Eagle’s In Ear Park record. Department of Eagles is, again, the other band of Daniel Rossen from Grizzly Bear. The record sounds as good as that would imply, which is to say, it sounds very very good.

Department of Eagles' new LP In Ear Park has been on repeat around here over the last few days, and apparently Ed Droste is into the record too (although he might be a little biased). The new album version of "No One Does It Like You, which we've blogged numerous times over the last year or so in its various incarnations...
