For those who think that comics and cartoons went out with Kix cereal and the 5th grade, these Top 10 feeds will surprise you - comics and especially webcomics, Internet-published comics, have created an entire new world of graphic expression. Some of the best print-work of the last few years has included Neil Gaiman's Sandman series, Frank Miller's Sin City, and Daniel Clowes' Ghost World. The recent revival of comics-gone-big-screen has turned two of those three into movies, as well as bringing back to life heroes of generations past: Spiderman, Batman, Blade, and the X-Men, just to name a few.And these are just the print-versions: the world of webcomics is enormous, filled with artists and writers that have found a new, convenient, and more personal medium for their work, which often transcends the page (electronic or paper), to become part of the great miasma of thought which is the human consciousness.Oh, and they're sooo pretty! Don't believe me? Check out MegaTokyo and Penny Arcade, two of the most popular webcomics (and sites in general) out there. For sophistication, read Dinosaur Comics. For the video-game-inclined of you, there's VG Cats, comic in the most clever ways. And for those who have an inclination towards academia (or like me, have an apprehension), PhD Comics is the place for you. And if you're just looking for something goofy, let me praise Rob and Elliott, a comic that never fails to make me laugh. Really. It's funny! And if you're already a comic afficionado, check out some comic commentary, in written or in audio form!P.S.: We know that a lot of webcomic enthusiasts out there will immediately protest at the limit of ten spots, and not all of them filled here by comics. If you want to suggest others, we would love to hear from you in the comments section. Related Top 10 Sources: Comic Books | Fine Art
